Scientific Research

For years diet has been the subject of study for many researchers. The results are clear; whole food plant-based diets are ideal for achieving optimal health!

A plant-based dietary pattern of whole grains, beans, vegetables, and fruits can help prevent:

• diabetes
• cardiovascular disease
• cancer
• and other chronic diseases

According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, “Appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases.”

Some well-documented health benefits of a vegan diet include:

• Lower saturated fat intake is linked to a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases including heart attack and stroke.
• Healthy vegan diets are high in dietary fiber which is associated with lower rates of colon cancer.
• The increased intake of fruits and vegetables provides the body increased amounts of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

What We'll Be Doing

During this experience we'll talk about making a QUALITATIVE as opposed to a QUANTITATIVE shift in the way we eat. This may be the first time you'll hear that choosing the right food is the guiding principle for losing weight and staying healthy, not the restriction of the amounts of foods.

At the end of each class you will have the opportunity to prepare some tasty vegan food in a mini cooking class.

Once you have registered keep an eye out for emails from HealthyChefWellness@gmail.com or healthychefwell@iinhealthcoaching.com for more information.

The class is just $20 per session or $70 if you register for all 4.
